The 18th International Congress of Linguists (CIL18) was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 21st to 26th July 2008. The Congress was organized by the Linguistic Society of Korea under auspices of CIPL.

Theme of the CIL18 was Unity and Diversity of Languages. Before the beginning of the Congress, CIPL’s Secretary-General published a book with the invited talks which address hot topics in various subdisciplines presented by outstanding and internationally well known experts. In addition, the state-of-the-art papers provide an overview of the most important research areas of contemporary linguistics. Please check the publishers website for table of contents.

Venue next congress
The venue of the next international Congress will be appointed in 2009.
